Issue

We created a striped volume spanning across 4 physical volumes.

According to Red Hat's documentation, to extend the underlying logical volume prior to growing the filesystem, an equal number of physical volumes have to be added to the existing volume group/logical volume.

Is there any way to add only 1 additional device to an existing striped logical volume without evacuating the file system and recreating it?
Can I add a set of PV's to a striped Logical Volume which is of different size from the previous set of PV's?
