When copying large files, system runs out of memory
Issue
- OOM-Killer occurrences are frequently obeserved, even if there is plenty of memory available;
- When copying large files or performing memory bound operations, system runs out of memory.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux; and
- 32-bit Architecture (IA-32, x86); and
- More than 16 GB of RAM.
