Worker machines stuck in provisioned state in OpenShift 4 on RHV

Solution Verified - Updated -

  • While performing an IPI installation for RHOCP on RHV cloud provider, the worker machines remain in a provisioned state
[root@bastion ~]# oc -n openshift-machine-api get machine
NAME PHASE TYPE REGION ZONE AGE
openshift-stage-wz4zh-master-0 Running 22h
openshift-stage-wz4zh-master-1 Running 22h
openshift-stage-wz4zh-master-2 Running 22h
openshift-stage-wz4zh-worker-0-8w2xb Provisioned 17h
openshift-stage-wz4zh-worker-0-ckzxm Provisioned 21h
openshift-stage-wz4zh-worker-0-n8qtb Provisioned 21h
  • On checking the output of the node, the worker nodes look good and workloads are scheduled on them but as shown above the status should change to Running.
[root@bastion ~]# oc get nodes
