Is it possible to create a paused subscriber?

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

It is possible to use the listAllSubscriptions method on the JMS topic to find the queue names for all the subscriptions and pause those if desired.
What about new subscriptions?
We have a requirement to:

  • stop (without deleting) the flow of messages because of an issue on the application that is consuming.
  • do migration of applications (move applications from one cluster to another for instance). And the procedure for that is to stop (without deleting) the flow of messages until the applications has been moved and then can reconnect to the queue/topic...
  • to stop (without deleting) the flow of messages to see the content of the message and its headers to investigate a production/development issue
Is it possible to have a subscriber, with a paused queue, at the time it is created?

Environment
