How to get more information about "bad blocks" using mdadm

Issue

  • mdadm maintains a BBL (Bad Block List) for a disk used in raid mode
  • presence of bad blocks in BBL is notices when examining raid devices with mdadm -E /dev/<disk><partition_numer>

    $ mdadm -E /dev/<disk><partition_number>
    ...
    Bad Block Log : 512 entries available at offset 32 sectors - bad blocks present.
    ...
    
  • how to list "bad blocks" for this particular device and get more information from the BBL (Bad Block List)?
