Why autofs mounting of the local share via RDMA fails ?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Autofs share doesn't mount when using nobind over RDMA, where nfs-server and nfs-client are the same systems. The following messages are seen in syslog.
Jul 17 12:43:23 server automount[37955]: mount(nfs): nfs options="proto=rdma,port=20049", nobind=0, nosymlink=0, ro=0
Jul 17 12:43:23 server automount[37955]: mount_mount: mount(nfs): calling mkdir_path /share/apps
Jul 17 12:43:23 server automount[37955]: mount(nfs): nfs: mount failure nfsserver:/export/apps on /share/apps
Jul 17 12:43:23 server automount[37955]: dev_ioctl_send_fail: token = 311
  • How do we get automounting of local filesystems working with RDMA settings?
  • Access to share gets failed.
[root@server ~]# cd /share/apps
-bash: cd: /share/apps: No such file or directory

Environment
