How to zap Ceph osd disk with dmcrypt

Issue

  • Run "ceph-disk zap" command failed with dmcrypt osd disk:
[root@osd1 ~]# ceph-disk zap /dev/sdb
wipefs: error: /dev/sdb1: probing initialization failed: Device or resource busy
ceph-disk: Error: Command '['/usr/sbin/wipefs', '--all', '/dev/sdb1']' returned non-zero exit status 1

[root@osd1 ~]# lsblk
