Dependency errors running `yum update` on RHEV-M

Issue

  • In RHEV 3.2, the redhat-support-plugin-rhev package is causing 'yum update' to report an error:

    Error: Package: redhat-support-plugin-rhev-3.2.1-3.el6ev.noarch (rhel-x86_64-server-6-rhevm-3.2)
               Requires: rhevm >= 3.2.4
               Installed: rhevm-3.2.2-0.41.el6ev.noarch (@rhel-x86_64-server-6-rhevm-3.2)
                   rhevm = 3.2.2-0.41.el6ev
     You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
    
  • After adding the RHEV 3.4 repo, a yum update fails with this error:

    Error: Package: rhevm-reports-3.4.0-9.el6ev.noarch (rhel-6-server-rhevm-3.4-rpms)
               Requires: rhevm >= 3.4.0
               Installed: rhevm-3.3.3-0.52.el6ev.noarch (@rhel-6-server-rhevm-3.3-rpms)
                   rhevm = 3.3.3-0.52.el6ev
    Error: Package: redhat-support-plugin-rhev-3.4.0-4.el6ev.noarch (rhel-6-server-rhevm-3.4-rpms)
