Why does setting "DefaultWindowsTimeZone" attribute not work as expected while creating a new Windows VM ?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • We have set the value of DefaultWindowsTimeZone parameter as below:
# rhevm-config -s DefaultWindowsTimeZone="Israel Standard Time"
# rhevm-config -g DefaultWindowsTimeZone
DefaultWindowsTimeZone: Israel Standard Time version: general
  • However, when creating a new Windows VM, the time zone value in Initial Run tab shows as default: null as can be seen in the below image.
