ERROR: no files found to be unknown to the database after executing database command "catalog start with"

Issue

  • Files are present in the directory but database commands displays the error as "ERROR: no files found to be unknown to the database"
Able to access files in a shared directory but while executing 
" catalog start with '/dir1/oracle/backups/PROD/xxxxxx';" 

error message displays :
searching for all files that match the pattern /dir1/oracle/backups/PROD/xxxxxx
no files found to be unknown to the database"
