memory leak with boost-1.41 and serialization/deserialization support on RHEL 6.4

Issue

Using boost to serialize/deserialize data and valgrind is reporting a memory leak.
It has been verified that using boost-1.42 the memory leak is no longer reported.

Environment

Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.4
boost <= boost-1.41
