rgmanager failed to start the Oracle 11g service due to lsnrctl start failure

Issue

  • When the option listener_name is omitted or empty string the resource agent oracledb.sh will fail to start.
  • The clustered oracledb resource failed to start with the following error:
Oct 15 12:58:03 node42 clurgmgrd[22777]: <notice> start on oracledb "myoracle" returned 1 (generic error)

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 5 (with the High Availability and Resilient Storage Add Ons)
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 6 (with the High Availability and Resilient Storage Add Ons)
  • rgmanager-2.0.52-37.el5_9.3
  • resource-agents-3.9.2-21.el6_4.3
