Overcloud update or converge times out after 4 hours, or overcloud deploy on larger environment takes more than 4 hours to complete

Issue

• After performing the below command to update the Controllers it times out:

  $ openstack overcloud update run --nodes Controller
  

• It doesn't change the result. So it is quite possible that only the output is cut off and the update has already been successfully completed.

• On larger environments (50+ nodes), normal deploy can take more than the default timeout of 4 hours.
