Why snoopy is giving error ld.so: object '/lib64/snoopy.so' from /etc/ld.so.preload cannot be preloaded: ignored.?

Issue

  • When some programs are start up there are errors related to snoopy.
  • The error below was generated when starting up Tomcat on application server.
$ ./tomcatstartup.sh 
ERROR: ld.so: object '/lib64/snoopy.so' from /etc/ld.so.preload cannot be preloaded: ignored.
