Why does RHEV Hypervisor installation fail while using Remote Supervisor Adapter to share Installation media ?

Issue

  • RHEV Hypervisor installation fails on IBM server , while using Remote Supervisor Adapter to share Installation media .
  • Installation fails with following error :
dracut Warning: No root device "block:/dev/mapper/live-rw" found

dracut Warning: Boot has failed. To debug this issue add "rdshell" to the kernel command line.
  • When Installation iso is mounted & shared over Remote Supervisor Adapter to IBM server , the installation fails .

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Host 6.x
  • IBM x3950 8878 4RG
  • Remote Supervisor Adapter
