echo "c" > /proc/sysrq-trigger does not output a core file

Issue

  • Issuing echo c > /proc/sysrq-trigger should have created a core file.
  • kdump.conf was verified working on a different type of server(HP Proliant G7 series)

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
  • ProLiant DL380p Gen8
  • Smart raid controller. ex:P420i
