PackageKit: dbus.exceptions.DBusException: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply.

Issue

  • Getting following error while using yum commands (eg: update , install etc.)
# yum -y update
ERROR:dbus.proxies:Introspect error on :1.101:/org/freedesktop/PackageKit: dbus.exceptions.DBusException: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. Unable to send message to PackageKit
  • Package update completes successfully. But getting above errors every time.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
  • PackageKit-0.5.8-21.el6.x86_64
