RHEL5 Xen guest not booting after DomU patching and reboot

Issue

  • Xen guest not booting after DomU kernel 5.9 348.12.1 patching

  • Dom0 was updated first to 348.12.1.

  • Then a xen guest was update to 348.12.1 and rebooted.

  • Below is the error while booting guest

  • [root@dom0 ~]# virsh start crazyxenguest
    error: Failed to start domain crazyxenguest
    error: POST operation failed: xend_post: error from xen daemon: (xend.err "Error creating domain: (22, 'Invalid argument')")

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.9
