ccs_config_validate fails on one node and succeeds on another where both are using the same /etc/cluster/cluster.conf in RHEL 6

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • One node is failing ccs_config_validate and the other is succeeding, where both have the same config. This same config also validates on other hosts as well; its just the one host.
  • We have a cluster that was running fine and when we tried to add 2 new services we started getting validation error:
Relax-NG validity error : Extra element rm in interleave
tempfile:24: element rm: Relax-NG validity error : Element cluster failed to validate content
Configuration fails to validate

Then we reverted back to the original configuration and are still getting the same error whenever we try to cman_tool version -r. When i do rg_test test <filename> it doesnt complain, but ccs_config_validate and cman_tool version -r are complaining. The cluster is currently running fine on the original configuration as the new changes weren't validated.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 with the High Availability Add On
  • rpm -V resource-agents shows a modified copy of one of the resource agents in /usr/share/cluster (rpm -V would show a 5 in the 3rd column if it was modified, and possibly an S in the first column if the size changed):
  S.5....T. /usr/share/cluster/netfs.sh
