Red Hat Storage client df doesn't show quota limit

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

Running the df command for the client mountpoint of a RHS volume, the configured quota hard limit is not reflected.

On the RHS server, a quota hard limit of 1GB is configured:

# gluster volume info

Volume Name: rep01
Type: Distributed-Replicate
Volume ID: 519f16ec-74ef-4800-8f43-5fd3ce4ecb9e
Status: Started
Number of Bricks: 2 x 2 = 4
Transport-type: tcp
Bricks:
Brick1: n1:/bricks/brick1
Brick2: n2:/bricks/brick1
Brick3: n3:/bricks/brick1
Brick4: n4:/bricks/brick1
Options Reconfigured:
features.quota: on

# gluster volume quota rep01 list
                  Path Hard-limit Soft-limit Used Available
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
/ 1.0GB 80% 0Bytes 1.0GB
/dir1 100.0MB 80% 0Bytes 100.0MB

On the client, the df output reflects the total size of the RHS volume rather than the quota hard limit:

# df -h | egrep 'Filesystem|rep01'
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
192.168.2.241:/rep01 4.9G 266M 4.6G 6% /mnt/test1

Environment

  • Red Hat Storage Server 2.1
  • Note: Directory quota is a tech preview feature in the RHS 2.1 release
