Unable to migrate the project using CAM tool for cluster with disconnected install environment.

Issue

  • Trying to perform the migration of OpenShift resources from OCP3.11 cluster which is air-gapped/disconnected environment to OCP4.2 cluster using Cluster Application Migration(CAM) tool deployed on OCP4.2 cluster.
  • Activities able to perform;
    a) Able to successfully configure the OCP3.11 cluster and replication repository in CAM tool.
    b) Able to successfully create migration plan for migrating the project having pod that uses persistent volume.
    c) When the staging operation is initiated through CAM tool, the staging process get stuck at 36% with the message StagePodsCreated.
    d) Migration logs does not indicate any error logs for this operation.
  • When PV is not used by pods, the migration doesn't get stuck at StagePodsCreated.
  • In the OCP3.11 cluster, a stage pod is created which goes in ImagePullBackoff state.

  • OpenShift Container Platform 3.11
  • OpenShift Container Platform 4.2
  • Cluster Application Migration(CAM) Tool.
