Use of the SKIP_REMOTE_LOOKUP to access a RHDG cache
Issue
- Is it a performance benefit to use the
SKIP_REMOTE_LOOKUP
if the embedded cache is replicated? - Under some conditions
getAdvancedCache().withFlags(Flag.SKIP_REMOTE_LOOKUP).get(key)
operation returns null for a given key in some situation. Cache size also returns as 0 in this situation. How could this be avoided? - Is it possible to use
SKIP_REMOTE_LOOKUP
for embedded distributed caches ? - When should I use a cache get with advanced flag
SKIP_REMOTE_LOOKUP
- Is use of
Flag.CACHE_MODE_LOCAL
a good idea?
Environment
- Red Hat Data Grid (RHDG)
- embedded (library) mode
