Can we upgrade fnic and enic drivers to an unsupported Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) version?

  • The firmware upgrade requires a module upgrade in RHEL.
  • The documentation from Cisco does not mention RHEL 5.8 as supported but we need it installed due to the firmware upgrade.
