JBoss ON agent is attempting to reach the server on the wrong port or address

Issue

  • agent seems to be getting some default configuration with port 7080
  • Where is agent getting default info?
  • Agent fails to connect to server:

    WARN  [RHQ Agent Registration Thread] (org.rhq.enterprise.agent.AgentMain)- {AgentMain.failover-list-unreachable-host}Failover list has an unreachable host [jonserver.example.com] (tested ports [7080] and [7443]). Cause: java.net.ConnectException:Connection refused
    WARN  [RHQ Agent Registration Thread] (org.rhq.enterprise.agent.AgentMain)- {AgentMain.failover-list-check-failed}!!! There are [1] servers that are potentially unreachable by this agent.
    Please double check all public endpoints of your servers and ensure
    they are all reachable by this agent. The failed server endpoints are:
    [jonserver.example.com:7080/7443]
    
  • Agent is using wrong server address or port

  • Agent configured for 2 way sslsocket switching to 7443 from 55555 to download plugins

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (ON) 3.1, 3.2, 3.3
  • JBoss ON server is running and available
  • JBoss ON server is listening for connections on a different address or port then the agent is attempting to connect to
