How to PXE boot RHEVH with multiple DNS and NTP ?
Issue
- Our SW version: RHEV Hypervisor 6.4-20130501.0.el6_4
- We are using the following pxe template to deploy one of our hosts.
- It looks like, it's not possible to set multiple dns/ntp servers?
DEFAULT pxeboot
TIMEOUT 20
PROMPT 0
LABEL pxeboot
KERNEL vmlinuz
APPEND rootiflags=loop initrd=initrd.img root=live:/rhev-hypervisor.iso rootfstype=auto ro liveimg check rootflags=ro crashkernel=128M elevator=deadline quiet rd_NO_LVM max_loop=256 rhgb rd_NO_LUKS rd_NO_MD rd_NO_DM reinstall storage_init=/dev/sda storage_vol=::::: BOOTIF=eth0 ip=x.x.x.x netmask=255.255.255.128 gateway=x.x.x.x dns=x.x.x.x:x.x.x.x hostname=test1 ntp=ntpserver1:ntpserver2:ntpserver3 adminpw=password management_server=test2
- After deployement, I can see the folloiwng on the Network section:
- Empty DNS Server 1/2
- NTP Server 1:rt-oam-ntp01.netmgmt.nl.tmo:gv-oam-ntp01.netmgmt.nl.tmo:yp-oam-ntp01.netmgmt.nl.tmo
- Empty NTP Server 2
- I've followed the formatting as suggested in : https://access.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Virtualization_for_Servers/2.1/html/5.4-2.1_Hypervisor_Deployment_Guide/sect-Deployment_Guide-RHEV_Hypervisor_Kernel_Parameters_and_Automated_Installation-Networking_and_RHEV_Manager_parameters.html
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.2
