How do system user id numbers get determined in RHEL?
Issue
- When installing the
mysql-serverrpm, it adds amysqluser to the password file on the machine with a uid of 27. - Is there a registry of these system id numbers?
- When creating an rpm that has to add a system user, is there a range that we should use so that we wouldn't conflict with the uids in the rpms from Red Hat?
