Disabling Messaging when JBOSS not using ESB

Issue

Currently we're using jboss EAP 4.3 to use a third party portal this one only uses cache from jboss is it possible to disable JBoss Messaging from production profile if we're not using JBOSS ESB? will that affect cache service in the application server?
