kdump failing on systems with large number of LUNS with the message "Out of String space"
Issue
The following messages are seen when attempting to get a vmcore :
Loading usb-storage.ko module
Waiting 8 seconds for driver initialization.
Waiting for required block device discovery
Creating Block Devices
out of string space
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5
- System with large number of block devices (LUNs)
