[RHEV] Cannot connect to guest via spice from User Portal, but can from Admin Portal

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Unable to connect to a RHEV guest via the spice prococol on the User Portal but can connect to it from the Admin Portal
  • From the spice.log file on the RHEV-M box, I see that when I connect to a vm when logged onto the RHEV Manager portal, SPICE connects and terminates properly:
    2011-03-01 13:08:13,965 ERROR [4180:3332] WinMain: unhandle exception: agent_timer_proc: vdagent timeout
2011-03-01 13:08:13,965 INFO  [4180:3332] WinMain: Spice client terminated (exitcode = -9).

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 2.2.4 / 2.2.5
  • Microsoft Windows as a guest
