How to make a physical server member in 2 different clusters?

Issue

  • Is it possible to add one server member of two different High Availability clusters?
  • Building a new infrastructure to support critical databases, the architecture is designed with 2 clusters. One node is member in both clusters - it is designed to be a backup to tape server.
  • We have ran into issues when adding this node to the second cluster. how we can make a physical server member in 2 clusters.

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 5 (with the High Availability or Resilient Storage Add Ons)
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 6 (with the High Availability or Resilient Storage Add Ons)
