Why does the "subscription-manager list" command returns Red Hat Enterprise Linux Version as '6.3' instead of '6.4' which is already installed ?

Issue

  • After installing fresh Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4, "subscription-manager list" command shows wrong version, as below:
# cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.4 (Santiago)
