Issues booting from SAN after Cisco UCS fnic driver update

Issue

  • Updated the fnic driver for a different issue and when the server was rebooted, it was not able to detect the root volume (boot from SAN). Server is not able to boot as root volume is not found.

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.7
