When installing a virtual machine on a RHEV-H hypervisor, the hypervisor kernel panics

"no route to host" errors are occurring with most operations.

The hypervisor displays an error message that includes "Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception" and ends with "panic occurred, switching back to text console". The virtual machine then stops responding and the hypervisor gets marked as non-responsive in the RHEV-M. The hypervisor reboots itself, but while it's booting up it stops and displays the same error message. It continues to display the error message until it is shut down.
