[Satellite 5.4] When running recognize_guests.py, getting 'No systems detected to convert to guest' message

Issue

  • Satellite being upgraded from 5.2 to 5.4, with many registered VMWare virtual machines. When running recognize_guests.py the output is 'No systems detected to convert to guest' message.

    [root@rhn satellite-upgrade]# ./recognize_guests.py 
No systems detected to convert to guests

  • Red Hat Network (RHN) Satellite 5.4
