Regarding the Bugzilla#5147
Issue
- The problem of Bugzilla#514703 occurred on a system.
-
Could you please answer the following questions?
1) Is there a method of avoiding this problem without applying Errata(http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2010-0253.html)?
If there is a workaround, could you tell the workaround and the reason that can be avoided?2) Could you tell the restoration method when this problem occurs?
Example:
- Start snmpd.
- Reboot the system.3) What is the counter of /proc/net/snmp and /proc/net/snmp6? Is it the number of packets that snmpd sent or received? Or, is it the number of packets that are sent or received as one system?
4) I think that this problem occurs when the counter of /proc/net/snmp and /proc/net/snmp6 exceeds 4,294,967,296. Is there a method of preventing those counters from exceeding 4,294,967,296? Moreover, is there a method of decreasing the number of those counters?
