rhn_check fails with the message: Fatal error in Python code occured [[6]]
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4
Issue
- From the Client machine run "rhn_check -vvv", it starts importing the configurations files (around 20-70) and then fails with the message:
Fatal error in Python code occurred [[6]]
Resolution
- The default timeout for the Red Hat Network Configuration Manager is 30 minutes. To alter this, add the server.session_lifetime option and new value to the
/etc/rhn/rhn.conffile on the server running the manager, like so:
server.session_lifetime = 120
