Issue

Capturing kernel crash dump sometimes fails due to failure of mounting filesystem for crash dump saving area. When this issue occurs, there are the following messages in console:

    systemd[1]: Mounting /var/crash...
systemd[1]: var-crash.mount: Mount process finished, but there is no mount.
systemd[1]: var-crash.mount: Failed with result 'protocol'.
    systemd[1]: Failed to mount /var/crash.

where /var/crash is the file path at which crash dump file is created and the var-crash.mount is the mount unit corresponding to the mount point on /var/crash directory (*).

(*) The file path /var/crash is the default configuration of /etc/kdump.conf file. If you change it by path directive in /etc/kdump.conf file, the messages is altered accordingly.
