numad causing qemu process to swap or even to kill the Virtual Machine
Issue
- After using approx. the memory one Numa Zone has available the VM becomes unresponsive and crashes
- Swapping activity is observed in a NUMA environment, although there is plenty memory available
- RHEL 7.1 KVM enabled numad causing high load performance issues on KVM host
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6, 7
- numad running (up to version 0.5-8.20121015git.el6)
- NUMA aware hardware (e.g. HP DL980)
- KVM Virtrual Machines
