RHDS returns "The value is not 7-bit clean" When Accented characters used in the DN

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

Does RHDS Support accented characters in the DN? We are trying to import data from a SUN ONE Directory server to our new RDHS environment. For example:

# cat user.ldif
#dn: uid=CÔTÉ00002,ou=People,dc=gsslab,dc=pnq,dc=redhat,dc=com
dn:: dWlkPUPDlFTDiTAwMDAyLG91PVBlb3BsZSxkYz1nc3NsYWIsZGM9cG5xLGRjPXJl
 ZGhhdCxkYz1jb20=
uid:: Q8OUVMOJMDAwMDI=
givenName: Nafdafa
objectClass: top
objectClass: person
objectClass: organizationalP
....

# ldapadd -x -D cn=directory\ manager -w go4linux -f user.ldif  -h vm34.gsslab.pnq.redhat.com
adding new entry "uid=CÔTÉ00002,ou=People,dc=gsslab,dc=pnq,dc=redhat,dc=com"
ldap_add: Constraint violation (19)
    additional info: The value is not 7-bit clean: CÔTÉ00002
