Settings in `/etc/sysctl.conf` are not being applied at system boot up in RHEL6.

Issue

  • The settings contained in /etc/sysctl.conf are not being applied when a system boots. Those get applied when running sysctl -p.
  • Do one need to do anything new with RHEL6 to enable the /etc/sysctl.conf settings to be applied at boot?
