Unable to initialise luci and reset luci_admin password in RHEL 5

Issue

• When trying to change the password using luci_admin password,  everything seemed to work fine, but the password generation completed almost instantly and luci was still using the old password. After trying the above command serveral times, luci_admin init command fails in the system.
