Is it required to run 'cryptsetup resize' command while extending LUKs encrypted LV and filesystem?
Issue
-
We successfully extended the LVM volume and filesystem created over it using
-r
option as shown below. But this LV is encrypted with LUKs. So, is it still required to manually runcryptsetup resize
command?$ lvextend -L 400M /dev/mapper/vg2-lv1 -r
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.7
- LUKs encryption
lvm2-2.02.177-4.el7
device-mapper-1.02.146-4.el7
