Issue

  • System encountered the following messages:
[TOTEM] entering OPERATIONAL state.
[EVT  ] Channel open decrement error                  <------
[EVT  ] Channel NTF_CHANNEL_NAME, total 15, local 15
[EVT  ] Node no interface found for nodeid, count 0
[EVT  ] Node no interface found for nodeid, count 16
[EVT  ] Node r(0) ip(192.168.10.7) , count -1
[EVT  ] Channel open decrement error                  <------
[EVT  ] Channel NTF_CHANNEL_NAME, total 14, local 14
[EVT  ] Node no interface found for nodeid, count 0
[EVT  ] Node no interface found for nodeid, count 16
[EVT  ] Node r(0) ip(192.168.10.7) , count -2
[TOTEM] entering GATHER state from 11.
[TOTEM] entering GATHER state from 11.
  • This caused the custom application to enter an unknown state and both nodes had to be rebooted to recover from the situation.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Update 7 x86_64
  • Kernel 2.6.18-274.el5
  • 3rd party application using openais-0.80.6-30.el5.x86_64 deployed as a standalone item.
