Why application/oracle database are not running properly on RHEL 5.9 kernel ?
Issue
- Getting below error while going to start the application / database:
netaapp85 : service redwood start
[root@netaapp85 ~]# service redwood start

- When running the same database on a server using
kernel-2.6.348.1.1.el5
(orkernel-2.6.348.2.1.el5
) causes these "your license is not valid" messages. - When booting the system with previous
kernel-2.6.18-308.11.1.el5
, everything starts working again.

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.9
kernel-2.6.348.1.1.el5 , kernel-2.6.348.2.1.el5
