nfs4 mount stuck in a LOOKUP_ROOT loop if the operation fails on first attempt
Issue
- mount.nfs program is hung mounting an nfs4 filesystem
- nfs4 mount stuck in a LOOKUP_ROOT loop if the operation fails on first attempt
- I see a huge number of "getattr" calls being made back-to-back for the same file handle
- auto mounted nfs share hangs. Can not restart autofs.
- Using autofs to automount NFS filesystem hangs
- Autofs hung issue
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4
- kernel-2.6.32-358.el6 and higher
