  • RHEL 8.1 fails Kickstart install with DHCP due to lack of DNS
  • Anaconda in RHEL-8.1 is not setting the nameservers from DHCP

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.1 (RHEL8.1)
  • ip=dhcp on boot commandline
  • Kickstart requiring DNS resolution in %pre section, such as wget http://example.com/file.txt -O /tmp/file.txt
