Why does the cache gets invalidated when the same volume is mounted on the same hostname with a different IP?

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • Why does the fscache gets invalidated after remounting an NFS share from EMC isilon server?
  • EMC isilon server is a load balanced cluster storage which provides NFS share via a different IP(but with same hostname) every time a mount request is made.
  • Why does 'fscache' gets invalidated while mounting the same NFS share using a new IP address from the same host(or other host with the same hostname)?
