Error: "Booting failed, sleeping forever" when booting from software raid in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
Issue

Installed a RHEL 6. 0 (Red Hat Enterprise Linux Workstation release 6.0 (Santiago)) on Dell T3400 system. Did a backup with dump of both partitions /boot and / and restored this into identical Dell T3400 workstation. When system boots, following error was received:
dracut Autoassembling MD Raid No root device found Booting Failed Sleeping forever

- Software RAID 1 set up: */dev/md0 -> /dev/sda1 and /dev/sdb1 mounted as /boot (100MB)
*/dev/md1 -> /dev/sda2 and /dev/sdb2 mounted as root
*/dev/sda3 and /dev/sdb3 as swap partitions.
