CUPS lpstat command doesn't return for 5 minutes and no print queues are listed in the output

Issue

  • lpstat isn't displaying the defined queues
  • The CUPS lpstat command takes a long time to finish and doesn't display the queues that are defined in CUPS.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6
  • Common Unix Printing System (CUPS) 1.4.2
