When deploying a seam webapp I'm seeing a ClassNotFoundException on org.jboss.seam.servlet.SeamListener

Issue

  • After migrating our Seam app to Seam 2.2 on the EAP 5.1 and starting it we receive:

    ERROR [[/nextgen]] Error configuring application listener of class org.jboss.seam.servlet.SeamListener
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.jboss.seam.servlet.SeamListener
     at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:200)
     at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)

Environment

  • JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) 5.1
  • Seam 2.2
